A little bit of heaven

I have watched the movie "A little bit of heaven" with a beautiful Kate Hudson. She is so good with expressing emotions; I might say one of my favourite american actors.

The movie inspired me. I cried the entire second half of it. A frivolous working woman gets terribly sick and as her cancer progresses, she finally learns to live and love. Incredible story. Much recommended.

I remember when I had practices at the Oncology Centre pulling out labs with each patient before they would go for another dose of chemo. The worst feelings develop when watching all the young ones struggling with the sickness. Some would wonder.. where was God then? But were we really meant to be happy on earth as if we lived in paradise?

"Thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away" (Job 11:16)

What I admired in this movie is the final scene, how they celebrated her passing away. How beautiful, yet unimaginable to us, funeral with all the laughter and happiness. Well, she did live her life to the fullest (in a good meaning) in her final weeks. You really need to deserve this kind of a death with the accompanying attitude.

I am praying for all the sick people that they find courage and hope. And after all... CURE. I am praying for all the doctors that they learn how to fight the insensitivity and become more human in their profession. I am praying for the relatives, may they be strong and supportive.
